BlackRock Solutions, the risk management division of the worlds largest investment management corporation, BlackRock, Inc. has created a state of the art operating system called Aladdin. Aladdin stands for Asset, Liability, and Debt and Derivative Investment Network, and is an electronic system that handles about $21 trillion in assets. Aladdin as it is aptly named is a platform that helps in decision making, effective risk management and efficient trading and operational scale.
